GOING WITHIN

MEDITATION....

LISTENING, we know, is one of the biggest acts of kindness for others, so why do we find it so hard to give this to ourselves?

Do you meditate?

A question that can sometimes make us feel if the answer is NO then we 'should', or if the answer is YES, are we 'doing' it enough?

From my experience as a previous sporadic on-and-off meditator to now, a daily practice where I really understand the power of this in my life, it's all come down to a fabulous teacher & VEDIC MEDITATION.

So today, I'd love to share Maddy Gray & this practice with you.

If you're new to this, and maybe feeling like you'll do it wrong or will just end up sitting there for 20 min going through your shopping list, then please let me assure you a busy mind is COMPLETELY NORMAL, especially as you begin.

But from my own experience & the many other meditators I've met, there truly hasn't been another practice that has allowed me to 'hear' my heart / soul's whispers as clearly as this.

Dedicating time & space to actually turn down the volume of the outer noise to listen to our own INNER GUIDANCE is a powerful thing.

 

STEP 1, Maddy and I are inviting you to commit to this act of kindness to yourself with curiosity and compassion.

O.K so let's GO!

SETTING THE SCENE

Journal: Have a journal or notebook at the ready.

Allocate time: Just 30 min will be enough but an hour is ideal. I find early morning best.

Engage your senses: Surround yourself with your favourite fragrances, soft or natural lighting, calming music, or the serene sounds of nature.

Comfortable: inside or out it doesn't matter, just make sure you're comfortable.

  • How can I serve?

But of course please feel free to write whatever has come up for you, these prompts are simply a guide.

Let this practice percolate, ruminate & settle in your body. Keep you journal handy for any other additional 'random downloads' that appear over the next few days.
